Kent Sutherland has released a new beta of Chax today, which provides a couple of great new features. I have now updated the Norwegian localization for this release and it can be downloaded here.

English may be better…..
Atupid question from somebody who has been forced to use pc for too many years.
Bought a MacBook to my daughter because I have always wanted one (sigh!), but got it in return because she couldn’t use iSight on msn and msn was obviously the only alternative since all her friends use msn. Is that a fact, or is there some way around this?
Thanks in advance
If MSN is the only alternative for her, then I would suggest trying aMsn. This is a MSN client application which have support for webcam (iSight). I don’t think it have support for audio transfer though, so it might not be a good solution.
I would strongly suggest that she and her friends try out Skype instead. This is a much better solution for multimedia conversations online and works on both Windows and Mac (and Linux, but only audio/text). Not only does it work much better than MSN does, but it’s completely free too. My company is using this solution extensively, and all our telephone meetings are done with Skype, and I have successfully used it in conference calls between Norway, Denmark and United States.
Remember though, that it is not a lack of multimedia support on Macs which is the cause of this, but the fact that Microsoft has not released a MSN client for Mac which got these features.
Good luck
On a related note: Microsoft are currently working on integrating A/V functionality in a later version of Messenger for Mac. This was confirmed in this blog post by one of the developers at MacBU.
