Google Groups

I have a gmail-account, which I also use to personalize many of the Google sites. I just went to Google Groups to search after some informations in the newsgroups, and since I haven’t set up any groups there Google suggests some for me. I was a little bit stunned after reading those suggestions though…The only Norwegian newsgroup suggested are no.alt.frustrasjoner (frustrasjoner – frustrations)! What the…..! I’m definitely not frustrated (at the moment), I’m actually quite relieved now that I’m done with the course curriculums for this semester!!!

Master Thesis

Today the three of us who are going to work together on our master thesises met with Rune Møller Jensen who are going to be our supervisor next semester. During the meeting we laid out an overall plan for the project. The project are temporarily called CLab# 1.0 and consists of:

  • porting CLab to C#
  • constructing a efficient CSP library in C#
  • making it work seemlessly with both BDDs and CSP problems
  • construct a small application utilizing these libraries for interactive product configuration purposes
  • documenting these products and processes
  • hopefully do some experiments with the resulting libraries
  • other things that might come up during the project

It looks out to be a fun and challenging thesis project, and we’re looking forward to get started after the exams in January.

What? An update?

I haven’t updated my blog in quite a while now. The main reason are actually that I haven’t had time to think about it at all these last months. I have been studying in Copenhagen since September, and there have been quite a few long days. The difference between a University College and a University are now quite obvious to me ;)

Well, the course lectures for this semester are now nearing the end, and I’m taking December off after taking a extra course to free up some ECTS points. This will let me focus on some other things the next month. I’m planning to do some more work on the weather widget, and also doing some work for the iTheater Project. In addition, I have to get back on schedule with the curriculum for the advanced object-oriented programming course, which I have abandoned the whole semester.
